How do I create a boot disk from a floppy to take me to the DOS prompt?

OS is Windows XP, but the computer has a virus and not can read from the CD-ROM. I want to bring your computer to the DOS prompt, using a DOS disk format, and start from scratch. I have other equipment that can create the boot disk. Have you bootdisk.com state can not know where to go from there, would appreciate a more specific or to do otherwise. Thanks in advance

Go to "My Computer". Click the drive (A:) and select Format. Select the option to create a boot disk. There are other methods if you follow the link
